If there’s one thing music needs, it’s the PLAY button. One small flick of the switch is the only thing that separates a CD from a beermat, a cassette from forgotten junk stashed in a shoebox under the bed, and an MP3 from so much empty static. And if there’s one thing Newcastle’s own country-rock powerhouse THE VIPER CREEK BAND know better than most, it’s this: whatever the format, whatever the sound-system, it’s not a party until you press PLAY.

‘JUST PRESS PLAY’ is the second single lifted from the album of the same name and follows the smash hit ‘ROCKSTARS’.  Watch the video for JUST PRESS PLAY here.

Few bands reward the simple push of a button quite like THE VIPER CREEK BAND. More than just the soundtrack to the best night out of the best summer of your life, THE VIPER CREEK BAND’S ‘JUST PRESS PLAY’ is a heaving, shout-along summer anthem that will no doubt get the crowds bopping. From the opening bars of irresistible call-to-arms ‘Feeling Right, Right Now’ –– JUST PRESS PLAY promises a night out like no other.

We came to do what we do, crank it up and light the fuse, take a sip and let it loose.’

“We were looking for songs for the new album and Matt Scullion sent me a disc with a heap of tracks on it and Just Press Play hit me straight up, says frontyman Damien Baguley. I loved the way the rhythmic vocals flowed and thought it sounded very contemporary. Almost ‘Florida Georgia Line- like’ I knew if we could nail the production  it would be a great summer time sing along anthem! It’s been great to see people react so positively when we play it live. It’s very contagious and fun.”

2017 is shaping up to be a great year in VCB land. The guys are in the USA kicking it off with shows in the USA on board Country Cruising with Chris Young, Kelsea Ballerini and Lo Cash amongst others and then head straight to Tamworth for one show only during the Tamworth Country Music Festival. VCB then head to Queensland for the big one CMC rocks in March and Caboolture River Country Music Festival. The boys are excited to get out and play as many shows as we can next year and perform all these new songs live for people.

What is a  PLAY button without volume control? If country rock is best enjoyed at a volume setting of 10, JUST PRESS PLAY demands the dial be turned up to 11+.
